Grief & Loss

Feeling Lost

You feel lost.

Life as you knew it has been shattered. This can’t be real. It’s like being stuck in a bad dream. You may feel that life will never be the same again and that you’re left without a way to move forward. Grieving is a deeply personal experience that can encompass a wide range of emotions and reactions. It’s not a linear process; it can ebb and flow, with moments of intense pain followed by periods of calm or even numbness. You may find yourself experiencing profound sadness, regret, guilt, relief, anger, or a whole host of other emotions. It might be difficult to focus, and making decisions can feel impossible. You may not be sleeping, may not be eating well, and may not be focused on your own well-being. Your emotions may change from day to day or even from hour to hour.

Almost everyone experiences grief at some point in life. The death of a loved one, the loss of a job, a broken heart, moving away from home, witnessing a tragic event, or otherwise, it’s easy to feel not only caught off guard but also confused, unsettled, and fearful.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that healing is possible, even in the face of profound grief or unexpected change.

Through a combination of evidence-based techniques and personalized support, we’ll work together to help you:

  • Navigate Your Emotions
Feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, and numbness are all a natural part of the grieving process. I’ll provide a safe space for you to express and explore your emotions without judgment.
  • Develop Coping Strategies
Coping with loss requires strength and resilience. I’ll equip you with practical coping strategies and self-care techniques to help you manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
  • Find Meaning and Purpose
Loss and change can shake our sense of identity and purpose. Together, we’ll uncover the deeper meaning behind your experiences and help you rediscover a sense of direction and fulfillment.
  • Build Resilience
While we can’t change the past, we can empower ourselves to face the future with courage and resilience. Through therapy, you’ll develop the inner strength and resources to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease.

Grief can catalyze personal growth by fostering resilience, compassion, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for life’s precious moments. Over time, many individuals are able to find meaning and purpose in their grief journey.
